Chronic pain? Inflammation? Soreness? Most people – at some point in time – will experience these issues. Maybe it’s wear and tear on your body over the years. Or maybe you’re an athlete with a rigorous training program. Maybe you’re on your feet all day at work. Any of these issues – and countless more – can get in the way of your day-to-day routine and life.

But what if – in just three minutes – you could find some relief?  What if there was a way to help alleviate the pain or inflammation and get you feeling better?

Not Just A Quick Fix

Well, there is and it’s called whole body cryotherapy. Whole body cryotherapy promotes natural anti-inflammatory response, the release of endorphins, and the reduction of pain and spasms.

Developed in 1978 by Dr. Toshiro Yamauchi, a Japanese rheumatologist, cryotherapy was originally used to assist in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. However, it was quickly discovered that there were many other potential applications and benefits, and over the subsequent decade’s scientists have learned a great deal about the benefits of cryotherapy.

What Cryotherapy Does It Do?

During each treatment session — lasting between two-to-three minutes at temperatures that can reach -240°F — the skin responds to the cold and sends messages to the brain that areas of your body may not be working to their fullest potential. When this happens, blood rushes to your core to protect the body and a natural filtration takes place to remove toxins and other negative properties.

Once you step out of the chamber, the filtered blood – filled with nutrients, enzymes and oxygen – makes its way back to the outer tissues and the body will begin to see the positive effects.

Seems easy enough, right? Well, it is. In just little as three minutes and a few times per week, you can find the relief you are looking for (and deserve)!

Is Cryotherapy Right for You?

We recommend two-to-three sessions per week at first to gain the most benefits and for more chronic issues, including arthritis, multiple sclerosis, osteoarthritis and more benefits.

The according benefits are primarily bodily health and athletic performance, cosmetic wellness, and improved mental health. There are, however, some people that are not the right fit for a whole-body cryotherapy session. It is not recommended for pregnant women and those with high blood pressure or heart conditions.

Athletic Recovery with Cryotherapy

For the athlete looking to recover quickly between training sessions or games – whole body cryotherapy is a perfect way to stay in the game.

Being able to reduce muscle soreness or inflammation is a game changer and will give you the edge on your competition. Making whole body cryotherapy part of your training, offseason or in season routine will allow you to compete at your highest level.
